    Default Adams County Careerlink

I have an unemployment hearing next week at the Adams Co Careerlink office. I was wondering if there is any law or policy against carrying there. I know this topic was covered a while back, but things may have changed in the past year or so. Thanks for any info.

    Law, no.

    Policy, perhaps.

If you're going to be concealed, I wouldn't be concerned.

That's kind of what I was thinking.

    FAIL!

    From Wikipedia:
Pennsylvania CareerLink is a collaborative project between multiple agencies to provide career services to Pennsylvania employers, potential employees, and others.

Pennsylvania CareerLink is operated under the direction of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
CareerLink is an extension of the Executive Branch. Now, whether or not the facilities are owned/leased by the Department of State is something else. If so, then carry would be prohibited by Pa. Code and would be a summary offense. If not, then there's no legal prohibition thereto.

If your hearing is before an "administrative law / employment judge", then be prepared to be disarmed. I recently attended a hearing in Allentown, and the office held two administrative law judges. You had to be on the list to gain entrance, and a uniformed and armed security officer was there and had a metal detecting wand. Had two lock boxes for any weapons. Items returned when departing.
