Official oppression charges are being filed against those attempting this, yes? Even trying to enact such laws is a crime under state law, and since it's defined as such by the state, it triggers federal law against it as well. If not, then what the hell are we waiting for?

And as I read it, Bill #080016 would be Philly's version of PICS/NICS for anyone purchasing a firearm in the city or bringing one in.

As I read it nothing proposed by councilmen Ass and Hat would be legal since they are, once again, trying to violate state laws. When will they learn? Maybe the new gov. will go after cities that try crap like this. We can hope anyway.

I wonder if the mail-order ammo sales will honor Philly's registration requirements, or if they will simply ignore them and ship to Philly addresses.

This is a clear cut violation of the UFA. Now for those who put me on ignore, or bashed me for stating that the NRA is of little use, I hope you will ask and have the NRA assist to immediately quash this illegal legislation. If this is passed without opposition it will spread throughout your state. Many companies refuse mail order sales of C&R or regular firearms or ammo if there is the slightest chance of any legal problems.
