Shots fired, precinct calls it vandalism?

I live in a decent neighborhood in what is still considered Center City Philadelphia. Not one of these outskirt areas that's caught in the middle of a transformation. So the wife and I are in bed last night around 10:15pm and here 5-6 shots fired. I pull out the Iphone and go to the police scanner app and here the call go out for shots fired at 12th and XXXX. Peek my head out the window and see police cars blocking both ends of the street, 12-15 officers searching and about 30 minutes later here the copter buzzing around. Call my police district this morning to find out what happened. The officer answering the phone puts me on hold for about 5 minutes and comes back and says, vandalism. I said vandalism with shots fired? She said, I don't have the paperwork in front of me? Thoughts?

If the shots were fired by a Caucasian guy, it would be attmepted murder.

Eh 12th and South can still get dicey, My buddy lived there a few years ago, a few doors down from Gennaro's and there was a murder outside his stoop. Ever find out what happened?

Maybe it wasn't gunshots, just fire crackers? They did some damage to property and thats why they called it vandalism.

Old and pround PPD tradition to keep the crime stats down to keep th sheeple calm and happy......

Assault and battery are called hospital jobs.
