Pennsylvania Masters Shooters
Just got home from R.O.ing the Masters Pistol match. We had several that came from your fine state. Super nice and serious shooters with some of the best range manners at the match. Your own Doug Koenig complete with family and shooting son was here. They are one of the class acts of the shooting sports.
For those not familiar with the match we have shooters come from all over the country to compete.
The 3 courses of fire include .22 precision shot at 25 and 50 yards bullseye style with reactive targets 1.75 and 4.5" alternated through a course of 45 shots.
The second course is speed plates 12", 5 plate arrays in 3 sets staggered in different patterns. Holstered start run against the clock. Doug is something to see at this.
The last is the long range fired from 75 to 200 yards with the pistol of your choice. Targets run from 6" at 75 to 12" at 200. The prevalent gun is the XP-100 in 7 BR either fired stock or with all of the bells and whistles in the open. The open guns can get really wild with front grip stocks and comp. barrels. Take at Frank Glenn's website to see just what can be done.
Sorry for the babble which I am probably the only one who cares but we are fired up at this time.
If you have any interest past this babble just Goggle Pasa Park and click on the link for The Masters.
Thanks and apologies in advance.
