Grice's Gun Shop in Clearfield, PA
I recently went to Grice's Gun Shop in Clearfield, PA and had a very positive experience. Though I have very limited experience with gun shops, it seemed to me that the selection at Grice's was fairly impressive. The prices also seemed competitive, as some were as good as or slightly better than budsgunshop.com. A young man named Eric was extremely helpful and patient with my indecisiveness and helped me try several different guns, some of them many times.
I went there thinking I was going to get an HK USPc 40, which I really loved btw, but ended up saving $300 and going with the S&W M&P 40 compact. So far I'm ecstatic about the fit and accuracy of the gun, but I have yet to put it through the ringer as far as reliability goes. My big concern is that I'll start having magazine drop issues, but the people I talked to had really good things to say about the S&W customer service, so I'm thinking positively. I'll may post pictures later but you all know what a compact M&P looks like anyway.Last edited by righteousbarbarian; October 30th, 2007 at 11:28 AM.

Re: Grice's Gun Shop in Clearfield, PA
I made the loong trip from Lehigh county to Grice because they advertised as having 10,000 guns in stock. What a load of crap!!!
Their website has been under construction for more than 2 years. I get their sale flyer mailed to me. I can get any gun, other than their special runs of Remington commeratives, at a better price at Alan Boyer's hardware in Slatington.

We made the 1 1/2 hour trip to Grice's yesterday as the GF wanted a PT111 Millenium Pro for Valentines Day. The place was packed, the service was excellent, and the price unbeatable. The staff there is very helpful. We tried several other online places and no one could compare to their inventory and price, even gunbroker.com was much higher.
