An interesting suit. If successful, New York State's requirement to justify a special need for protection prior to issue of a license to carry pistol will be a thing of the past.

This, if it wins, will combine with Sykes v. McGinness in California will be the ultimate doom of the anti gun political movement. Carry rights make gun ownership practical and meaningful for people living in all areas, destroying the sole political advantage the antis have had the last few decades.

Wow.
GL0001...
Please let me bask in a moment of glory and the reestablishment of my faith in the Judiciary before you pipe in and tell us all that what looks like good news can't possibly be as good as we uninformed hope they are. I think and hope these things could be good signs for our future.
Yeah, I'm sure the bubble will burst a few times... but this gives me some slim margin of hope, at least for the poor slobs stuck in that God forsaken hole, the Bill of Rights hating hole known to us all as New York.
Of course if it and New Jersey could just fall into the ocean, that would work too... But then that would take my mother in law...
Wow, either way we could be on to something...

Re: SAF/Gura sue NY(Westchester) over CCW
I had a dream, a few days back, that I was in N.Y. open carrying, and was giving the cops sent after me a good tongue lashing. I woke up in a cold sweat when I actually realised where I was.

If you watch the mini series of Stephen King's " The Stand", you will see a scene with someone who is not a LEO OCing a revolver in NYC. There are also alot of dead people still in their cars in this scene ( fortunatly they are not zombies).
LOL, I am a woman...

Re: SAF/Gura sue NY(Westchester) over CCW
If Need falls in NY...then maybe other less-restrictive states that also require it..like RI for example... will just drop the need without further court intervention..
