Are you a cop or something
She asked me, I said no why you ask. Well you have a gun and your wearing jeans and a t shirt standing next to the carnival, I was scared. ( firemans carnival annual fund raiser in borough)
I stated it is legal to open carry in PA. I know hundreds of people that do it every day.You dont seem to scared, you confronted me, besides if more people would carry it would lower crime. I then told her her ask any police officer and he will tell you they only take the report or bag the body after its over. She stated emphatically well I never see any one other than police with guns.
I did tell her I do work with the police on occasion she then felt better.
Some people will never accept any 1 except police having a firearm it is a shame.-Remember the Constitution-

Re: Are you a cop or something
Why is there a part of me that says when someone asks that question the natural response should be, Why do you need help with something?
The smart ass responses do nothing to show us in a good light, even the one word answers do nothing. We don't need to add fuel to the fire and we also don't all need to be ambassadors, but you do kind of take on that job when you decide to OC don't you.

Re: Are you a cop or something
I don't think you take on any job just because you choose to carry something you own in a certain manner. Someone who finds themselves compelled to approach an armed individual, with the intention of chastising them, passively or aggressively, IMO is generally not someone who is going to be won over with sweetness and appeasement in the first place. I believe that leaving those encounters having planted the thought that they would be better off minding their own business next time is just as helpful as making a convert.

than to those attending too small a degree of it."~Thomas Jefferson, 1791
