Today after work I wanted to get my hunting license so I went to Muellers General Store in Riegelsville to get it. As soon as I enter the building, an 8-10 yr old boy notices my XDm and says rather loudly "Hey Dad, he's carrying a gun". All eyes focus on me and I got some wicked looks from the little old ladies but nobody says a word.

I mosey up to the counter and tell the girl I would like a hunting license and proceed to hand her my DL. She runs it through the machine and gets no info from it. She scans it again and looks at me and notices my XDm. She gets this little shit eating grin on her face and says to the other girl working the counter, " Hey Jen, here's another guy carrying a gun and his driver license doesn't scan". She turns to me and says, " How come your license doesn't read on the computer? You rub it with an electromagnet or something?" I chuckled and said I don't know what you are talking about. She laughed and said her brother is big into guns and conspiracies and she thinks it's great that people are taking the responsibility of protecting themselves and that I was welcome in the store any time. We talked for a little while about gun rights, politics, how stupid people are these days, etc.

I thanked her and headed out the door and ran into an old friend I hadn't seen in yrs. We talked about this and that and I ended up giving him a couple of the PAFOA fliers.
