    Default P-11 shooter's OC journal

Well, i've been OCing regularly for the past 3 weeks, and never got around to posting anything about it because.......well, nobody ever noticed. Until tonite.

Most of my OC has meen in the area's of Robinson, and Middlesex. Mostly the sheetz and giant eagle in robinson. Nobody ever noticed until the cashier at GE whom I believe to be a little "slow" said.....

Him: Are you a licensed police officer?

    Me: No

    Him: you have a gun

    Me: yes, I know

    Him: you're not a cop?

Me: actually in PA it's legal to open carry.

    Him: you have a license?

He: I don't need it, but yes I do

Him: I've just never seen anybody but a cop with a gun

Me: that's because they usually cover it up. I know alot of people who open carry.

Him: as long as it's legal

    Me: perfectly legal

    Him: .....what is that? a 6mm, 7mm?

Me: 9, have a good one.

The guy wasn't trying to be a dick or anything...he just didn't know. I also mad sure to tell him is he see's anyone carrying a gun, it's not against any law and nothing worth calling the cops about.

I'll keep you guys posted about my OC adventures.

WTG BRO! That was a great way to handle his questions. You will find that most of the encounters you have while OCing, will be just like that I know mine are.

Yeah, I often carry in the Robinson Giant Eagle as well as other places around Robinson/North Fayette since I live out this way. I have done hour long shopping trips in GE and no one said a word, not even the cashier. Also, the Golden Corrall Buffet has never given me issues with OC either, unlike some other buffet's in PA

Sounds like he might benefit from an OC "enlightenment" flyer

Unless, of course, he is looking at the little round hole where the bullets come out!

Good job with the educational opportunity, the OC, and the journal!

Good job P-11. Sounds like you handled the questions well. Glad to hear it has been uneventful for the last few weeks. May it stay that way brother.

Master of the obvious, that one. My preferred response to that grand statement is "Huh, what? Oh my god!! Get it off get it off!!!"...I am a terrible OC embassador.

    Keep doing the good work.

Be careful you don't encounter someone quick on the uptake with that lol

    (Back story)

My brother and I happen to be twins. I didn't plan it but it seems to be working out well so far. I am also in the classroom of an Alternative school in the Robinson area. Last week one of my students came up to me and said

"I saw you in 1/2 price books last night."

This was odd considering I went straight home. I informed him of that and he responded.

"Well, if it wasn't you then there is some dude that looks just like you!"

I just had to laugh. Personally, I'm shocked he didn't notice the firearm. Would have been even more of an interesting conversation.
