3 teens found not guilty of 3rd degree murder..
3 teens were found not guilty of 3rd degree murder after 2 of them from Shenandoah beat the crap out of a illegal immigrant and he died 2 days later inthe hospital ,all they got charged for was simple assault and for furnishing alcohol , i am like wait a minute i dont think that trial was fair they should have had at least involuntary manslaughter charges , if it was me and 3 mexicans beat me to death, should they be allowed to go free ,they taunted him with racial slurs they yet provoked the fight... what do you think about that?

Re: 3 teens found not guilty of 3rd degree murder..
Did you read about the trail?
That Mexican was 25 dating a 15 year old.
That Mexican was in the country illegally.
That Mexican chased the teens after the initial incident.
All this was in the Local Paper (I live about 10 miles from 'chendoh).
So it wasn't like they just rolled up on Jose and beat him.
Words were exchanged, the Mexican got on a phone to call his gang-homies and a lot of really goofy crap.
Yeah he's dead, but it was not like there was a roving gang of white guys looking for illegals to beat.

I think the jurors were asswipes..... They beat the kid. He died from that beating. They killed him. How does the jury throw out murder charges and convict on simple assault? Do they supply crack in the jury rooms over there? It is sad that they are young, but tough shit. Justice was definitely absent from that jury room.

You beat someone to death, you should be found guilty of some sort of murder. Period.
I never thought they were innocent (and the statutory rape is worthy of some kind of punishment...but if consensual not the death penalty) but I think the biggest fear would be that it would be considered a hate crime.
Really glad it wasn't, hate crime legislation is a very steep cliff coated with ice and oil.

Seems like I just read something about this case not long ago. It said something about the mexican starting out as the aggressor. That may have something to do with the verdict.

Yeah, one Mexican against a group of drunk teenage football players.
How aggressive do you really think he was?
Schuylkill Cty is all about their high school football, so no trial in Sch. Cty would ever find those players guilty.......the trial should have been moved out of the county, and had jurors from somewhere where all the publicity wasn't blown out of proportion.

Re: 3 teens found not guilty of 3rd degree murder..
I don't know if I necessarily agree with this. If someone was shot to death would there be any difference? There is a lot of grey area with that statement. For instance, if for some reason (not likely) I did not have my sidearm and someone tried to attack my son I would retaliate and keep retaliating until I knew the threat was neutralized. If the attacker died a few hours later in the hospital should I be found guilty of some sort of murder? I don't see much difference with this than what we are fighting for in HB40-castle doctrine or even Stand your ground.
I am not trying to nitpick your stance because in most cases you are probably right because many times you can neautralize the threat, walk away and both live, but sometimes it does not work out that way. I am really not relating my comments to the case because I don't know all the facts, if it was in cold blood and the kids had means to escape unharmed, then yes, Murder it should be.
