A DOH!! Moment
My girlfriend and I went to the Circuit City in Chambersburg to look for a new laptop. I found the one i wanted and long story short- it was out of stock. So I borrowed one of their computers and looked it up on their website and saw that Hagerstown had them in stock.
The clerk checked their computer system and verified this. So off we went with 45 minutes until they closed, streaking down 81.
After we got in the store and found the same model we asked the clerk to go get one so we could buy it and while he was gone, it hit me!
I leaned over to my girlfriend and told her we need to pay and get the hell out of here. She of course said "why?". It was then that I let her know that in the hustle of getting down there that I forgot to "properly secure my firearm for transit into Maryland".
We paid and got out of dodge.
Glad I was CC'ing for that trip.....
Maybe I need to put some kind of dummy reminder on the dash???Last edited by Fireguy15; October 9th, 2008 at 03:23 PM.

Glad it ended well! You must have had on a comfortable holster - what kind of rig were you wearing?

It happens man. Early in my OC life, I was carrying on my service calls when I got a call in Blairstown, N.J. I passed the last exit in Pa. on Rt. 80 before I realized it I immediately pulled over and called my BIL to come meet me back at the exit, walked back to it and swapped cars when he got there. I had to drive back to my house, secure my weapon, and then go on the call. What a PITA! No way was I taking a chance with Jersey's nonsense.....

The standard holster that comes with the Xd's. I guess I have just gotten so used to having it on.

My friends asked me if I plan to stop in front of the "welcome to Maryland" sign on I-95 and disarm when I visit them in Maryland.
Circuit City has incredible deals on laptops, especially if you go after the open box special aka floor models.

We've all forgotten something at one time or another.
However, posting specific "forgets" on a public forum might not be the best idea.

You all need to send dog turds to our Senator Frosh and House rep Vallaro- ok not really, but they need to be voted out, but so many sheeple in their districts! It is those 2keeping MD from even having a chance at shall-issue. Frosh is the worst, he thinks women should be raped so he can defend the rapists with his criminal defense law firm- yeah I think that is the way he thinks. Crime is good for business, we can't have armed citizens killing criminals!
LOL, I am a woman...
