Good Day, Got my LTCF
finally got my lazy butt out and got my permit. And WOW, people on here were not kidding. It only tooked like 10-15min. max to get my permit. Not sure why i waited so freakin long..lol.
but anyway
i was looking at some of the suggestion post and i was wondering how the
SERPA CQC w/Carbon Fiber Finish feel? I have no experience in picking an holster since this will be my first. I'm planning to use my Walther P99 in 9mm probable later down the road picking up an .40
also were is their a good place to buy it. I have only notice them on blackhawk site.
Thanks in advance for your inputLast edited by Trex; January 22nd, 2009 at 02:42 AM.

About time
Call your local gun shop and ask them if the stock the Serpas. Mine does

Re: Good Day, Got my LTCF
Congrats, i just picked up mine yesterday. Although here in Allegheny county, i had to wait the 45 days for approval.
Currently the only holster i have, is a CQC Serpa for my Springfield XD9SC, i can conceal it under a jacket, but Im gonna get an IWB asap. Probably a Crossbreed Supertuck, or the like.
Since im not from that area, i cant really help on where to buy.

Re: Good Day, Got my LTCF
Congrats on the LTCF Trex we in the outlaw counties are very jealous with how fast you got yours. I got a SERPA for Christmas for my XD40SC and think it's a very good rig. I've had problems with my Fobus paddle coming out with the gun when I draw and the SERPA totally solves that problem because when you press the button, there is no resistance to the draw.
Since you're new to carrying, I would suggest you check here, at thehighroad, and other forums as well as ebay for used holsters so you can pick up a few for cheap and see what you like. Also, practice drawing with an empty gun so you can be proficient and realize how your attire effects things.
Good luck.

Re: Good Day, Got my LTCF
Congrats on the permit. I love my serpa. Check either at a police supply shop or a gun shop that specifies in tactical weapons.
