sometime Thursday morning i will be going for surgery.i will keep everyone updated when i get home .this will probably be sometime Monday or Tuesday.the surgery will probably take about 4 hrs or so and will be in the hospital for 3 to 5 days for therapy and things like that.this will be my second hip replacement so i kind of know what to expect out of this.but i am a little nervous because the last time i had this done i somehow managed to get staff infection and they had to cut me open 2 more times .and 2 of the 3 times i was under they did not give me enough pain meds before i came to so i was in excruciating pain when i woke up.but i also cant wait until the day i can get out of bed with out having to take 3 or 4 pain killers just to go to work and 3 or 4 more just to be able to sleep at night.and its been a long time since iv walked with out a bad limp and this should fix that.the ones of of you who have my phone number feel free to give me a call sometime after Friday if you want to.and i will give you a update to post for me.

Yes, good luck! Just got out of spinal surgery myself last month...this getting old stuff really sucks, doesn't it? I hope you have a much improved experience this time, and get to a pain -free, or at last a minimally painful, state.

10 days to go for me, June 3rd to be exact. I totally messed up my rotator cuff lifting a 300 pound stroke patient. Was helping a nurse and went 1, 2, 3 and on 3 I lifted and she didn't............... Of course I'm right handed and it's my right shoulder.

damn man, i know what your going thru, i have similiar problems with my middle back from being a welder for many years , i hurt my back a couple times lifting some heavy pieces of steel . my cushioning between the discs are damaged .
