License question, need opinions and help.

I'm new here to the forum so first off hello!

I sent my application into the sherrif's office almost two months ago and have not received a response either way. Should I contact them to see what the hold up is?

And no, there is no reason why I should be denied as I have no criminal record, aside a speeding ticket (young and dumb), and am a normal, respectful citizen.

Thanks for any help, guidance, and or opinions that may be offered.

They have 45 days by law to issue or deny. I would call. WELCOME

From §6109:

(g) Grant or denial of license.-Upon the receipt of an application for a license to carry a firearm, the sheriff shall, within 45 days, issue or refuse to issue a license on the basis of the investigation under subsection (d) and the accuracy of the information contained in the application. If the sheriff refuses to issue a license, the sheriff shall notify the applicant in writing of the refusal and the specific reasons. The notice shall be sent by certified mail to the applicant at the address set forth in the application.

Note - this does not mean 45 "working days".

Thanks guys for the help and guidance, I work 3rd so am off to work. I will call the sheriff's office in the morning when i get home to see what hold up is. I was unsure as to whether I should call or not.
