Re: confused
You should answer the questions honestly, since you are affirming that the answers are true when you sign.

Re: confused
I don't think he is asking about lying, I think he genuinely isn't sure how to answer the questions.
If by "citations" you mean summary offenses (tickets) I don't think the form asks anything about those kinds of offenses.
I don't really have any answers for you right now, but hopefully someone more knowledgeable will drop in.

Re: confused
What questions on the PSP form (Application/Record of Sale), used when buying a handgun, don't you understand. What questions on the ATF form 4473 (used whenever you buy any gun at a dealer) do you not understand? This would help us form an answer for you.

Don't they use the same questions?

Re: confused
The Application/Record of Sale has 3 questions. The 4473 has a bunch more (11 or 12) dealing with things other than convictions.

Re: confused
If it helps, I got cited for trespassing when I was going through my Urban Exploration phase. A citation isn't a conviction. If you made a court appearance and were found guilty for something, that's a conviction. If you were issued a citation, that isn't a conviction. I've always answered honestly, and have had no trouble.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but that's the impression I have.

Re: confused
Ask your FFL dealer....he's probably heard questions like yours before.
My understanding of citations is they are for minor offenses such as parking tickets, speeding...things like that. Might be for possession of a small amount of marijuana which could make you an "unlawful user of, or addictedto marijuana". That might be sticky.
If your FFL dealer doesn't have an answer, he may be able to direct you to someone who does.Last edited by RoyJackson; January 29th, 2009 at 12:48 PM.
