Embassy confirms Obama born in Kenya

A radio show called the Kenyan Embassy and spoke to the Ambassador. Listen around the 12:30 mark or so. The Ambassador states that Obama's birthplace is already an attraction and that they're planning to build a monument there.

We've already had a President who protested Vietnam on Russian soil, evaded the draft in time of war and fled the country to do it, and earned himself not only disqualification from office but the death penalty for high treason besides. He quietly served two terms, and his wife has just been appointed secretary of state.

Among the ironies of the last election, McCain's campaign violated McCain-Feingold.

So the real question is why we think the law would be applied to Important People(tm)? Supposing it's all true, does anyone really expect it to make any difference?

Devil's Advocate here. I think there is enough legit concern around his birthplace to have a court initiate an investigation. I don't think a radio show calling a political official in a corrupt nation needing sources of income about something that might help bolster their economy is really worth taking too seriously.

Assuming he was born out of the country and it is proven, it will be interesting to see what happens. Is there any chance he would relinquish the presidency as required to do? Also shouldn't he be prosecuted? This sounds like it would be a major offense.

I think that he would relinquish the office - it may not be voluntarily though.
