Where are you working in NC Ed? I have a second home in NC. It is my piece of Heaven here on Earth.
IANAL, but IF I understand the law correctly you also can not carry anywhere that requires a ticket to gain admission (movie houses, etc.).
A few months ago I stopped at a gunshop a few miles from my condo in NC.
The owner told me that in NC you do not have to obtain your LTCF from the county you live in. He said that some people go to a county that is more economically challenged in order to help that county out a bit.
I also learned from him that you must obtain a permit to purchase a pistol prior to making a purchase. Once you have made your purchase you would then have to go back for the LTCF (or CCW; not sure what they call them in NC).
The shop owner suggested that since I spend so much time in NC the local Sheriff would probably give me a permit to purchase a firearm. On the other hand I have NO idea how Pennsylvania would view the purchase so I never pursued the issue.~ Luke... Come to the dark side... We have cookies! ~

Hello Jailkeeper
I'm working in Lenoir, NC
There a few gunshops I stop at here to buy ammo.
Also once you have a pistol permit you can face to face sell and buy handguns. The pistol permit cost $5.00 and are good for 10yrs.
Tonight I OC at the mall in Hickory without issues
