A Good (finally) Encounter in Scranton

i took my girls out to McDonald's last night, for a quick bite to eat. it was that, or cook. "McDonald's!" they all shouted. so, i loaded them into the van, and away we went. i called my brother to meet us there.

as i stood in line, there was an attractive girl (very attractive) staring at me. i'm pretty sure it wasn't for my good looks, as my hips aren't my best feature. behind her, there was a guy in a black jacket, who looked vaguely familiar.

she approached me, and instead of the usual crap i get, i got, "what caliber is that?"

i think i had a brain freeze. i stuttered, "uh, .45ACP."

it turns out, she and her fiance both have their LTCF, and both carry frequently. she was quite knowledgeable, and we discussed different brands of guns: Keltec, Taurus, etc. the guy i recognized was Kevin3824, a member here, and he chimed in. i wrote down the forum website, and told her i hoped her and her fiance would join. she got her order, wished me a goodnight, and left.

my brother asked what that was all about. i told him, and he said, "riiiiight. some hot girl walks up to you, and you talked about guns?" he smirked, and helped himself to a french fry.

Seriously! I took a girl out Saturday and during the course of conversation she found out that I am a gun person and I carry. Her response was, "You should probably take me shooting."

If an attractive girl asked me about my firearm I would probably utter a few incoherent words before she walked away.
