Default Uzi Toting Criminal in Philly

6 Philadelphia Businesses Robbed by Uzi-Toting Bandits

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are on the lookout for a man robbing businesses with an Uzi submachine gun.

Police say the gunman has hit at least six businesses in West Philadelphia in less than a week. The assailant threatens employees and patrons and demands cash before fleeing on a bicycle.

Police Lt. John Walker says an Uzi can fire up to 30 shots in less than a minute. Detectives say they're worried that a robbery with such a powerful weapon will turn deadly.

In three of the robberies, the man with the Uzi had an accomplice who displayed a 9 mm handgun.

Walker says the gunmen aren't making off with much money so police expect the robberies to continue.

WOW - a whole 30-shots in < 1 minute - I better slow down during my IDPA meets before I gain some unwanted attention!

Ahem - IIRC Uzi fire rate is circa 600 rounds/minute - No??

Wait let me get this straight a man with an Uzi robs a store and flees on a BIKE!! WTF!!! Does not a man riding a bike with an Uzi in Philly alarm anyone? I'm not saying that anyone carrying an Uzi on a bike is bad but I'd think someone must have noticed this. I just have this image in my head. I hope he gets caught real soon.

Wonder if his buddy rode on the pegs? That would even be funnier to see.

    a semi-auto Uzi can fire about 60 -70 rounds a minute

a standard UZI can fire aprox. 600 rounds per minute

a fully automatic Mini-UZI can fire 900-1200 rounds a minute

I am a big fan of UZI machine guns i like the design of them i always wanted a Micro UZI.

i hope they find those UZI toting idiots ,cuz yes they can do alot of damage, especially in a crowded bank.

Probably a semi auto MAC-10 or 11/9 in 9mm, rather than an uzi, if they are jacking $40 bucks at a time....
