I've got a great money saving idea for Federal Corrections Officers...

Every person who's inside for an act that isn't malum en se, gets released.

All the non-violent drug "offenders", all the mandatory minimum sentences, all the guys who didn't understand thousands of pages relating to firearms laws.... all get released.

Then, only the violent federal offenders will be incarcerated.

Considering that the Prison in this country are run as a Business and not as a federal system, and people are the inventory.. I have a general poor opinion of it in general.

Not that they don't have good people there, some bad, some good.. But alot of people are in cells that shouldn't be.

I've known plenty of BOP employees... they've been getting stabbed for over 30 years. Funding or not, it's the nature of the job. That's why with half a brain and a little ass kissing you're making over $25/hour.

I've known quite a few pulling in close to 6 figures.... And no, that's not an AW or Warden.

I would rather sign a petition that seeks to secure funding for arming and training every citizen. That would trickle down into helping the OP out....

Lets see $30.00 for a length of rope, a few hundred for some lumber. Yeah, stretch the maximum criminals necks on the town square. It will save hundreds of thousands of dollars, and eliminate the over crowded system. It would also deter people from becoming career thugs. Heck, it would even help the earth, by reducing the overpopulation as a whole.
