Here's an interesting email I got.
I can't verify its accuracy but it sure sounds correct!:
America's Tombstone
Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:
Number of States won
by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won
by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won
by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won
by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..." How did this happen????
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years. If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.
If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

Just because something comes in the form of an email, it does not mean that its factual, or even true.
Secondly, are you guys SO blinded by your Obama-hate that you'll believe such a ridiculous premise as whats written on this email???
Fo'Real guys... get serious.

I really don't mean to rub it in, but this is all I had to do.
So in essence...
YES! WE CAN!!
WE CAN VERIFY THE INFORMATION!==============

Re: Here's an interesting email I got.
Even if all those facts were true.. (Which I refuse to do the damn math in this case)
LAND DOESN'T VOTE. How much land I own doesn't dictate that I have more of a say then someone who rents. My Votes should count more then someone who doesn't own land? Would apartment dewellers unallowed to vote, while the company/people who own the apartment building gets all their votes?!
If that was true Alaska would have 67 Delegate votes every year..
The total idea is so totally goddamn stupid, it could only come from a Professor..

Re: Here's an interesting email I got.
Up until the time of Universal Suffrage, ONLY property owners were allowed to vote.
Only property was taxed; non-owners had no dog in the hunt."...a REPUBLIC, if you can keep it."

Re: Here's an interesting email I got.
I'm not so sure that it was a bad thing. There is some logic to only property owners voting, in that it places the vote with those that have a vested interest in the general welfare of the union. Not that it isn't fraught with other potential issues, but would anyone venture to say that we would have nearly the welfare state that we do have if only property owners could vote?
