Another question about handgun law
I store my motorcycle in my grandmother garage. Her house is on the same property as mine and therefore my parents own the house, but it has it's own address. I know without my LTCF I can only take a handgun from my home to the range, what about from her house? Can I walk to her house with the gun and ride off or do I need to bring the bike home then get the gun? Thanks

Re: Another question about handgun law
Since the house is on the same property, I don't see why you would need to worry while moving about that property. If the lot was subdivided into two properties, then you would have issues crossing property lines.
But as noted above, the LTCF would eliminate 99% of your problems once you leave that property.

If your parents own the property and they are adjoined, I can't imagine anyone sucessfully prosecuting a 6106 violation against you. However, if you ride the bike on the public road that I assume passes in front of the property, instead of remaining on the property, then yes, you would have to walk the gun back, IMO.

Re: Another question about handgun law
Since you live in Montgomery County, getting your LTCF only takes as long as it takes to get the local PD "check card" back (maybe 2 -3 days). The application form asks for references, but I have not heard of a case where they are contacted. Start on a Monday and you should have your LTCF by Friday.
