If I'm eligible to buy a firearm, am I eligible to get a LTCF?

Re: LTCF
Usually, although the LTCF has a couple more restrictions.

Re: LTCF
I'm referencing an application from the Sheriff of Berks County (Jozwiak at the time) from 2007: You must be 21 years old, and a Berks County resident. complete the application (on the back it has all the legal restrictions) including the reason for carrying (self-defense, employment, etc) and two references from nonfamily members (separate forms) who are Berks County residents and submit $25 (it be more now). Call the office (610) 478-6240 to get up to date info. I know they are making renewals easier so you do not have to go the Courthouse in Reading. And have a driver's license. I got my LTCF when Kramer was sheriff and listed personal protection at the time. I don't have to renew until 2012. Good luck.

Re: LTCF
Just had mine renewed and went with Mom to get hers. It's still $25. Go into the courthouse in Reading and fill out the application. Then hand it to the person behind the counter with your VALID drivers license and $25. Then wait approximately 15 or so minutes depending on traffic in the office at the time and so long as all goes well you'll get one. I believe all the questions on the form are the exact same as when you purchase a gun. I just recently bought another handgun and rifle around the time I renewed so I'm like 95% sure they're the same.

Re: LTCF
hello all this is my first post! lol flipwhipple, as far as I know as long as u have no felonies, u should be fine. When I went for mine back in 2002, it took 3 weeks for me to get it. I also needed 5 references that were non family members that they had to fill out and sign, now I believe it is just 2 non-family references that u can fill out. hope this helps.

Re: LTCF
You no longer need any refrences. Also you don't have to go to the courthouse. You can do it in Birdsboro, check the link.
