Grocery Store encounter
Deli Lady: Why do you have that gun?
Me: For self defense wherever I go.
Deli Lady: I didn't know people could carry like that.
Me: Yes. You can conceal carry with a LTCF but any law abiding citizen can carry openly even without a permit except in a vehicle which requires a LTCF. The reason I carry openly is as a deterrent to any potential criminals that might be thinking of initiating criminal activity around me.
Deli Lady: So, its like a second chance for them?
Me: Exactly.
She nodded and smiled and I gave her a tip of my hat and walked away.Last edited by t1m0thy; May 23rd, 2010 at 05:04 AM.

Re: Grocery Store encounter
That story would have been so much better if you had hit her first...
Good job.

Re: Grocery Store encounter
When I OC, I amazed at how almost nobody notices.
And I would also be curious to see all of these stories about people who OC being targets for BG's.
Myself, I believe BGs look for easy marks.....armed citizens who know how to use their guns are certainly among those.Last edited by ShooterInPA1; May 23rd, 2010 at 09:50 PM. Reason: spelling

Re: Grocery Store encounter
After stopping off at work to pick up tomorrow's schedule, thence to Box Seat Video to drop off some CDs (yes, I rewound them before turning them in), I wandered the aisles of the local BiLo supermarket. No comments from anyone! I did hear some young lady go, "Oh, wow!" in the parking lot, but she could have been discussing something with her boyfriend as the two passed by me.
