This isn't some spoof? This isn't a fucking joke? Are you serious? I checked the link and it looks real, but I can't fucking believe it. This HAS to be a joke. What has become of this country.

    I am just speachless.

I just reached another shade of rage.

    How to Qualify
The process to qualify for Lifeline Service depends on the State you live in. In general, you may qualify if...

You already participate in other State or Federal assistance program such as Federal Public Housing Assistance, Food Stamps and Medicaid.
    OR
Your total household income is at or below 135% of the poverty guidelines set by your State and/or the Federal Government.
    AND
No one in your household currently receives Lifeline Service through another phone carrier.
You have a valid United States Postal Address. In order for us to ship you your free phone you must live at a residence that can receive mail from the US Post Office. Sorry, but P.O. Boxes cannot be accepted.
In addition to meeting the guidelines above you will also be required to provide proof of your participation in an assistance program, or proof of your income level.

I'm going to work tomorrow to pay for someone elses F@#KING PHONE then after work I'm going to the mall to see if i can switch to a track phone and keep my phone #.

I can't afford the $90 dollars a month for my wife and I to have phones anymore.

Guess that is what I get for working and paying my mortgage first.

You wouldn't believe what I seen last week while closing out an IT Ticket at 1 of the public schools in my region I work.

This kid, who was no older than 10, saw me checking my emails on my blackberry and says (yes, he did talk with a horrible slang):

him: Yo, dat be a blackberry?
    me: yep
him: I got 1 of dem jaunts.
me: yeah right, let me see.

the kid pulls out this HUGE blackberry out of his pocket...I don't know if it was activated or not, but what's a kid that's 10 doing with a $600+ phone when he's 10?? He can't even speak English well enough to speak on a phone IMHO.
