Chief Mark Kessler is running for Schuylkill county sheriff. He will need to be a write in though because he didn't get on the ballot in time. He will need all the help he can get to win. The current sheriff is anti gun and needs to go. We need someone in there that isn't afraid to put the constitution ahead of politics. Vote Mark Kessler for Schuylkill county sheriff
It's strange that your brought this up. I was up at the Burma range last week, hanging out with all the old guys. We got talking about Kessler. And you know what? Their opinion of Kessler was overwhelmingly negative. The consensus being that his diatribes have set gun rights back rather than helping the cause. Plus the fact that he shot himself with his own gun in a bar fight didn't win him any accolades. If Kessler can't gain the support of life-long Skooks at the gun range, I don't see how he has any chance of getting elected Sheriff.
I don't know much about Sheriff Joe Groody other than he is a Democrat and he's been gun friendly as far as I can tell. He even held a couple of "License to Carry Firearms Days" where the Sheriff's office was open extra hours specifically to help residents get their LTCFs. I've never heard of anyone getting denied an LTCF in Schuylkill County under Groody.
So Kessler? No thanks.
