Vacation to South Carolina
Howdy all,
I have planned a vacation coming up this spring down to South Carolina for a week. I have read up on a lot of the South Carolina laws regarding firearms and basicly have come to the understanding that unless I am a resident and/or own property that it is not possible to CC or OC at all. It is also my understanding that I am legally allowed to have a handgun at the location in which I am renting exclusively as well as granted safe passage while abiding by the appropriate packing requirements. Is this correct? Does any one have any experience regarding vacationing down there and firearms? I know I can't carry when I am out but I would like to be safe in the rental property.
Thanks all in advance, feel free to post your experiences.
Cheers,
josh

Re: Vacation to South Carolina
I've been to SC several times in the past 2-3 years. You can carry from your vehicle to where you are staying (condo, hotel, etc) and have the firearm in your place of abode while you are there. You can also have the firearm in your vehicle center console, glovebox, etc loaded while traveling in the state.
That is what I have read and interpreted.
