+rep to your pastor's wife for whiping it out in front of the police chief!!
If God didn't intend us to have guns why would he have given us a trigger finger?

Good story.
I didn't see anything on the flier about carrying at polling places. I checked it before I went since I expected a slight chance of trouble.
Of course, if there is no law against it, it is legal. But if somebody thinks they have a problem with you then showing them something that does not mention the situation might not be convincing to idiots or the uninformed.

Great story! It just goes to show how passing a little piece of paper to a friend can do a world of good. Now a whole police force just got some "retraining" on carry laws...all because you were interested in helping your pastor and his wife.
Kudos!
Otherwise, we'd be hearing how some OCer got roughed up at a polling place and wonder who he should talk to about it...followed by 50 posts of "Stop posting and get a lawyer!"Nine out of ten moderators approve of this post!

Re: "Your Pennsylvania Gun Rights" Flyer Passed to PD
I already said that.
If the Chief believes polling places are off limits, and is handed a flier he has never seen before, and it does not mention polling places, I doubt the absence will convince him. What if it didn't mention courts or schools? Well, shit, we gotta go with this here flier somebody handed me!
On the other hand, if it was over polling places to begin with, a good Chief might have followed up on all the references in the flier and figured it out. Because the flier points out pretty much all the references and statutes needed to look into this kind of stuff.

Good job for giving out the flyer!
I love pulling out the 'gun rights flyer' to give to people... I gave one to a lady who was a first time gun buyer just the other day... I also gave one to my pastor a few months back, along with a LTCF application.

+rep to the OP.
It doesn't matter what was or wasn't on the flyer, what matters is that a chief LEO took the information, found what he was looking for, and was greatful enough for the information that he asked to copy it and pass it out to his officers. If he pops up here I'll rep him too....
