Rainier Ballistics LeadSafe Bullets
Hello all
Anyone have experience with this product? Midway USA has 9 mm at 1000 @ $79.99 for 115 gr. & $80.99 for 124 gr. Seems too cheap to be true. The site had them out of stock for a 500 order but available in 1000 lots.Last edited by Iron Sights; November 1st, 2009 at 05:13 PM. Reason: Spelling

Re: Rainier Ballistics LeadSafe Bullets
I have used nothing but Rainier bullets in my 9mm's and 45's for the last several years. Great bullets, never had a problem........other than trying to find them!

Re: Rainier Ballistics LeadSafe Bullets
I liked Rainier better then Berry's when I had both in my hands (Both for 45 acp 230 grain copper plated all the way around.)
I found the Rainier easier to load then the Berry's (so say my notes, I don't remember why though...) Berry's also had more 'dimpling' like golf balls, while the Rainier appeared smoother and nicer.
Just give the case a handsome bell when you expand it, otherwise the thin copper plating gets ripped right off should the bullet not be seated perfectly vertical.
ETA: Both products I considered to be acceptable and would use either one again.Last edited by Mootness; November 1st, 2009 at 05:45 PM.

Re: Rainier Ballistics LeadSafe Bullets
Is anyone using the Rainier 124gr copper plated bullet in 9mm.
Is anyone using Alliant Unique powder, if so how many grains?
Also any other recommended powder and loads?
Thanks

Re: Rainier Ballistics LeadSafe Bullets
I use Berrys but my load for 124 gr. 9mm is 4.2 grs Bullseye. Seems to work for me.

Re: Rainier Ballistics LeadSafe Bullets
You load Rainier like you do a lead load. When I load Rainier I use 4.2 gr of 231 or 4.3 gr of HP-38, 4.4 is the max load for both according to the web site. Look in the Lyman book of other lead loads.

Re: Rainier Ballistics LeadSafe Bullets
I load the JHP Rainer bullets just like they were cooper jacketed and I get good results when they mushroom. Whats your experience with these JHP rounds?
