Was considering a .45 acp as well, but figured smaller is better for a bug... LOL

    My wife had one.
Seemed like a good idea small size, light weight and since I had lots of 9mm ammo it made sense.
    However long story short POS.
Never fired a full clip without a failure.
On the rounds it did fire recoil was too much for her because of the weight and small grip.I thought it was unpleasant as well.YMMV
She got a Glock 26 and we are both happier.

What was failing? Timing screwing up or what?

I've currently got one in 9mm, good weight. I've shot one moon clip worth and put it away the finish was just too nice and I didn't want to get it wet (started raining that day). I never did end up taking it back out, not sure why. I didn't have any problems when I fired it though I don't feel 5 shots is really a fair judge of the gun. Lock up was good, timing was good, the moon clips worked as they should. If any of you are that interested in getting one I may be willing to part with it.

    I have a 905 9mm and also a 605 38/357.

I never had any function problems of any kind. 905 to me defiantly had more felt recoil than the 605 firing 38's, not sure about 357 loads.
Besides the heavy recoil, my only complaints are the dimensions. I expected to be able to use S&W j frame holsters. I can squeak the 605 but the 905 is a no go in very fitted holsters.

i also believe they were discontinued after a pretty short production time.

This is correct though I don't know the length of the production run.
