I just recently bought a 9mm Sigma and a small 22LR pistol for my wife to shoot at the range. I had a question about the carry permit. If there isnt anything on my record that would legally prevent me from owning 2 handguns, 2 shotguns, and a 270 rifle in PA, is there anything not listed under these stipulations that would prevent me from getting my carry permit?
I guess what Im asking is what is the difference in requirements between just owning and conceal carry in PA??

Yes, is the short answer. The requirements for a LTCF is a little more stringent. I'll post the links in a minute.

Well, I had a DUI about 7 years ago.

Just one will not get you dis-qualified, unless there was more charges added on.

A DUI is not an immediate disqualifier, what may get you is the Character and reputation clause in 6109, which gives the sheriff a wide latitude in disqualifying people.

Thats all that I know of or can think of. Actually come to think of it i ran a backround check on my self through the state police and it cam back as No Record. This confuses me becuase my sister in law works for the department of pardons and she said that the only thing showing on my record was a dui but the status was undetermined, whatever that means.
