Does the Constitution require CCW reciprocity
Article IV
Section 1. Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state. And the Congress may by general laws prescribe the manner in which such acts, records, and proceedings shall be proved, and the effect thereof."Never give up, never surrender!" Re: Does the Constitution require CCW reciprocity
Last I read the Constitution, there was a tiny, obscure part that read something like, "The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.", or something to that effect. Seems like if that hasn't been enough to stop their bullshit, the "Full Faith and Credit" clause doesn't stand much of a chance.
I guess it all depends upon how the carefully chosen Justices decide to interpret the Constitution on whatever day the question is put before them. If past performance is any indication of future rulings, it will be interpreted in favor of whatever is in the government's best interest.
I remember seeing something related to that clause while digging through SC stuff during the debate on Heller, just can't remember the specifics....

Re: Does the Constitution require CCW reciprocity
The constitution requires and limits lots of things but that doesn't stop the government from doing whatever the heck it wants.

Re: Does the Constitution require CCW reciprocity
The 2A is supposed to be our guaranty of our carry rights. The necessity of licenses and reciprocal agreements only go to strengthen the governments' control of how and where we can carry.
If the federal, state, county and local governments abided by the Bill of Rights we wouldn't need licenses or agreements.
