Serbu Super Shorty - anybody have one??

I've been wanting one of these for some time now - just because

Does anybody have one??
If you do, is is built on a Mossberg of a Remington and how do you like it??
I have an 870 Wingmaster and a 590 Special Purpose so I'm familiar with both models. I'd probably want one built on the Mossy platform because of the positioning of the safety.

I've read that ballisticly they aren't all that because of the 6.5 inch barrel, but they just have that cool factor that I want, and they must be a blast to shoot.
I've got pretty much everything that I want when it comes to guns, so this would be one of those "just because I want it" guns.

Any input??

I have a Mossberg 500 shortened to the same dimensions. Its an SBS, unlike the AOW designation of the Serbu's.

They do fine ballistically in the ranges they are meant to work in - typical self-defense range. Mine will put all (12) 00 buck balls in a chest pattern at hallway distances. Recoil isn't as bad as people complain about, well unless they are panzies. I have girly wrists, but I can one-handed shoot mine easily in typical arm extended pistol aiming and not so typical stances. Although I use 2-3/4" shells, no real need for 3" shells.

One of these days I'll make it to one of the group shoots and I'll bring it.

Jay has one, mossburg as I recall. It's been/being discussed in that thread as well as a bunch of others. Jump on into the NFA board to find some more threads on it. And yes, I too would like to own one someday!

Thanks for that link. I saw that thread but it died last year and I was hoping somebody got one since.
