    Excellent Dan!
I'm glad that a happy medium has been able to be achieved for now. Hopefully people will respect the rules and follow them keeping the work load down.

I've gotta say you've handled this all very diligently, it speaks volume to your character IMHO.

    Cheers!

I agree Dan. Thank you very much for working with the members on this. I think we have come to a good solution and most everyone should be please with the results (can't please everyone ).

    Thanks!

Just a reminder...do not bump or reply to your classified ad before 72 hours (3 Days)!!!

Even if you reply to your ad to announce a new, lower price or reply to acknowledge a dozen PM's...if it is before 3 days, your post will be closed and moved to the archives. These types of replies are still considered bumps! If it keeps happening, infractions will have to be issued.

Also, don't forget to click Edit>Go Advanced and change the prefix to [CLOSED] after your item is sold.

What's up with getting an infraction after bumping my post after 3 calendar days? I admit, it was a few hours before it was "officially" 3 days, but it was still 3 days, nonetheless............Are we getting into the can't reply-to-post-a-minute-early mode?? I'm one who actually takes time to leave feedback for people and close my threads once they're sold.

    Sort of pisses me off.

It's automatic at arfcom, I don't know if they took my suggestion from the PM's I sent and actually wrote a script to do it, if so...there's your cause.

The standard is not "3 calendar days". It's 72 hours. Your bump was over 8 hours "early", earning the infraction. You weren't singled out, but you weren't given an exemption either.

How long is the infraction for and does my post become live again after a certain period of time?

I'll make sure to stare at the clock before I post in the classifieds next time.

Perhaps Dan should just turn the switch back off then?

It's the people who couldn't follow the rules who had the reply ability disabled in the first place.
You admittedly, and knowingly broke the rules, and are now complaining about the results?

Again. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Is it too much to ask to follow the posted rules?

I didn't think bumping a post with a lowered price a few hours before my original post time on the 3rd day was a big issue, to be honest.

Now I see that it is, I'll wait 4 days to bump it, I suppose.
