Unable to give rep

I reviewed Rocketfoots thread on rep and found nothing about being unable to give rep.

I checked FAQ's and found nothing there.

I did a search on"unable to give rep" and "Rep" and came up empty.

I click on the rep Icon and a little cloud appears saying "add to such and such's reputation" but nothing happens.

It took me quite a while to get email notifications so i am hesitant to further ask for assistance.

WE (I), the older computer illiterate farts are pains in our young'un arses but do need technical assistance on a day by day basis.

I think you can only give each member rep once. You then must give others rep before you can give it to the first guy again. Not sure how many other people that you have to give it to before you can give it to that member again. If it not letting you give it to anybody then I have no clue. Good luck....

tis sounds more like a browser issue than anything actually site or account related.

I'm using IE 7 here, and when i click on the little scales icon, i get a box that expands...like a dropdown list.

if it worked before, whats happened, or whats been installed recently to stop the current control activation.

Make sure your pop up blocker is off or allows popups from this site. That could have a similar effect if it were blocking popups.

The only change I have made to the way reputation works has been to make it so not everyone can give negative rep (have to earn that privilege.) That however was well over a month ago.

Just a thought, but sometimes I have to click the scales two or three times to get the drop down to appear. Have you tried clicking a few times?

Or if you are on a rep giving frenzy tear you may have exhausted your ability to give rep for 24 hrs.
