There were no campers around at the time of the incident. Radnor Township Police are investigating.

UGH. How does a stupid ass, shooting himself in the foot, get reported as he got shot? He f'ed up, the gun didn't accidentally anything, his negligence did.

Well, he did technically get shot, but yes, I agree, this was pure negligence, not an accident.

Duh, aren't rifles supposed to put away empty? Isn't someone supposed to check to make sure that it's empty?

    Not just someone. Everyone.

The old long forgotten rules: never hand anyone a loaded gun; never accept a loaded gun (there are a few exceptions for training purposes, but very few). Always clear a gun yourself before believing it is administratively unloaded.

The title lead me to believe that a man was shot during the commision of a violent act on a military base. So yeah I got interested. If the title had read " kid shoots himself in the foot, while putting guns away" I'd probably not have opened it. I hate how these things get reported, makes us all look like morons.

Isn't this how the movie Taps started? Sort of... with an AD?
(For those who don't know, the movie was filmed at VFMA.)
