Black Powder Shotgun
My father (who was a gunsmith decades ago) stopped by my shop today.
He brought an old rabbit-ear black powder shotgun with him that he has been working on for months.
It is very old and has no markings on it except ELG and a star stamped on the underside of the barrel. The stamping is less than half the size of a dime.
We are trying to find out something (anything?) about this shotgun. If anyone is familiar with the ELG stamp please let me know. Any other thoughts would also be appreciated!

Re: Black Powder Shotgun
They are pre-WWI shotguns made in Belgium. The star and ELG are proof marks. Any other marks such as a crown or the number 12 near the star?
