Default New security at PNC Park

According to the online news, Pittsburgh's PNC Park will start wanding folks for metal and other objects.

I was just there, concealing as always, without issue. Now things will change for the worse.

    Can you cite the source?

This sucks as usual. Someone motivated will find a way in and then you are unarmed until you can at least get to your car.

Personally though I have written off the Pirates until they can manage a season above .500 and even then baseball is not my favorite sport my a margin and my least favorite pro sport in Pittsburgh that includes the Riverhounds. All the bands I would see are to old and unpopular to be doing stadium torus.

I also believe we have another thread going about the topic.

Have they not seen the movie Jack Reacher? It's not the people in the stadium they need to worry about, it's people across the river!

guessing you aren't watching them lately? 11 games in front of a break even season and they look REALLY good (so far).

If you read on the Pirates website weapons have been prohibited. This is not something new.

Of course the weapon's policy isn't new.

What is new (and the point of this thread) is the change in procedure whereby everyone entering the stadium will be wanded in search of these prohibited items.

Pardon my ignorance, but is this actually owned by Pittsburgh? If so, preemption violation. Court time, and a win here could help us in Philly.

PNC Park is owned by the Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County so maybe there is some legal recourse, but to that I have no knowledge.
