I was at the Benner Pike walmart Saturday morning (around 0400) and they had about 1k of 40S&W and 45ACP both from Tula and both over priced. One box of remington green box 9mm and 1 box of 38spl.

Not really, only 9 mm, 40, 45 handgun Tulammo are a little bit expensive.
The rest of Ammo are in reasonable price range, ex. 223 Tulammo (20 rounds) is below $6.

As of 5 pm this afternoon, the North Atherton Walmart has some Winchester white box ammo in .40 S&W. I counted 6 boxes of 50rd 165gr FMJ for $19.97, 3 boxes of 100rd value pack 165gr FMJ for $36.xx, one lone box of 50rd 180gr FMJ for $19.97. It also have about 6 boxes of Federal Fusion .223 for way too much. Otherwise, there wasn't much to see. Even the hunting calibers ammo stock seems to be running thin.

It has been brought to my attention that the proprietor of one of the local gun shops has been going to at least the Benner Pike Walmart when they get ammo in and buying as much as allowed for the sole purpose of reselling it. While I recognize capitalism is what it is and everyone has to get their ammo from some distributor the whole concept of this is rediculous and is one of the many things which has further perpetuated the "shortage" in our area.

My guess would be Sportsmen's Warehouse in Bellefonte.

The info source was an walmart overnight employee and he indicated it was a "Penns Valley shop", thought he did not indicate which one. I'll stop and chat with him next time I'm in and see if I can get the exact details. He indicated the guy would show up before 12, buy 3 boxes of everything he could, pay and walk out only to return after 12 and buy 3 more boxes.

I'll see what I can dig up.
