I wouldn't say they "caved in". Private equity companies have a fiduciary responsibility to their investors (and a limited hold period for all investments) Based on this, they are obligated to sell if they feel the company is facing risks outside of their tolerance levels.

I just reluctantly renewed again... If they don't come out in strict support of gun owners in this, I will call and write them a letter telling them how worthless they are, all before cancelling my subscription and never looking back.

Risks like liberal investors threatening to pull out?

The California State Teachers' Retirement System currently has more than $700 million committed to Cerberus funds. A spokesman for the retirement system told Reuters in a statement that officials were "examining the Cerberus investment to determine how best to move forward given the tragic events of last Friday in Newtown, Connecticut."
IANAL. I don't give legal advice. I'm only stating my OPINION.
(Did I really need to say that on an Internet forum? LOL)

I feel it was a publicity stunt. I'm curious as to how much they hold in stock to see if they seriously felt it was going to become volatile from all this or if it was just a glorified way to get their name out there. Bushmaster didn't get hurt as a product and what they're intended for...their product took out nearly 30 people in the hands of a kid, those uneducated who are flocking to gun shops now will all be wanting "super power bushmasters like in the news!"

We should all just move to Texas. The governor there said he supports teacher's carrying as long as the school board passes it. That's a state

Yes, but I saw so many girls at a Longhorn's game last year that looked like Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert type butts everywhere. Our kids will be safe in school AND we can look at big booty's and cowgirl boots
