Default How many people carry with full level 3+ retention?

So I am curious does anyone here that open carries, carry in a full level 3 retention holster?

I have a Safariland 6378, but am deeply considering getting a nice safariland level 3 or true level 2, with hood included to open carry. Granted it's bulky, and people will take notice but still.

Only issue, most duty safarilands that I found fit only a 2 inch belt and a 1 inch drop my belt is 1.5. and I don't want a drop, only mid ride.

I only carry level two. Huge supporter of anyone who wants to go the full monte!

And as I'm sure you know, I'm also a diehard Safariland advocate.

    Safariland makes pretty good holsters!
I think I may try out the 6367. Too bad no one local has it in stores to go check out. I checked out one safariland in a store, they have a blue gun in place. I could NOT get that damn thing out.

I have the same holster and have been considering buying the extra part to make it into level 3. But I'm worried that it would be too much for the thumb to be doing during a high stress draw.

I must be old-school, but all I've got is my Galco F.L.E.T.C.H. and its thumb-break retention. I figure a leather holster with a thumb-break was good enough for my Dad all the years he was on the force, so it should suit me fine.

Not that the Level 3 holsters aren't cool, though. Just not for me personally.

For duty, I carry Level III with a light-bearing Safariland.

For day to day? Usually just a single active retention device on a well-made holster.

My duty holster which I use for my gun is a Safariland level 5.

There is no tacticool here, leather may look cool, but it doesn't have retention.

I'd pick brains(level 3+ holster) over cool looks(leather) any day.

I am and always have been a huge fan of the Safariland 070 duty holster. Served me well for the years I worked the street. I now use an 0701 for personnal use and would use it for work if I ever put the badge back on again.

I know Safariland has newer designs and they might appeal more to younger folks who like to tinker with a bunch of stuff but they look very complicated for me. However, I'm not dead and not afraid of new stuff so if I ever get to try one out, we'll see how it goes.

As of now, I have two ALS's I use and the 0701 and an occasional mitch Rosin for IWB but I OC 95% of the time.

Does the 6367 have the thumb release like on the 6378?
