Re: Retailer recommendations
Backwoods Outfitters in Columbia is a nice hole-in-the-wall gun shop. Just the kind I like. It may be a bit of a haul for you, but it may be worth it.

If you're looking for something specific, it may be worth calling them before you make the drive - unless you're looking to simply get out of the house for a while.Soap Box - Worn out : Ballot Box - Broken : Jury Box - Pending : Ammunition Box - Unknown

Re: Retailer recommendations
It might be a little out of your way but I can recommend Collector's Gun Shop. I recently purchased 2 handguns there and had a very nice experience. No pressure sales experience and very smooth and professional in processing the paperwork. A very nice, family operation.

Re: Retailer recommendations
Up your way I'd be hitting up Kerper's. Nice shop and the owner is super nice. They have a pretty decent selection of stuff too.

Re: Retailer recommendations
I live in Hershey, but I do all my business at Shyda's. Great folks and great prices. I have found them to be as much as $100.00 cheaper then alot of the other places around this area. But if your doing your homework, you already know this. They are your one stop shop for firearms, ammo, accessories, and clothing also. And if you want something they ain't got, they will get it for you without a bunch of hassels. Good luck.

Re: Retailer recommendations
I have been to all the above shops, Backwoods, Collectors, Encks, Kerpers. All are great family owned shops that offer something different from each other. But above all SERVICE! Lets keep supporting the great local shops.

Re: Retailer recommendations
I definitely recommend staying away from Gun Dealer Online. Horrible customer service.
