Default 22 Kit AR barrel threading by CDI....

in Chalfont PA... a member here

I'd had this buggered 20" slow twist AR barrel laying in a parts box since about 2000... a buddy, during the AW ban, chopped the threads off with a cutoff wheel, and lopped the bayo lug too...(I wanted to cry, it was a FOUR Digit serial # Colt AR15 he took the upper off too)

    so I had a buggered 19" AR barrel ...

i gave it to Sean at CDI and he chopped it at 16.5", threaded 1/2x28 back .400" to match my Bowers CAC22 Stainless suppressor threads, and gave it a 11deg target crown.

I plugged the gas port on the sight tower with a chunk of old gas tube, and put the barrel on a spare A2 upper, its now a "Dissapator" style upper, carbine length with full sight radius.

it looks better than factory, the threads are perfectly concentric with the bore, and it functions perfectly.

great work at a super reasonable price!!

with supersonic ammo, you hear the crack, and a light ejection port pop... with subsonic, the light pop, the click clack, and the bullet flight

Nice set up Jay! Sean helped me out with a Ruger grip frame and some parts earlier this year, honest man and great price!
