Default 9mm Glock owners: small favor please?

Could you check if your magazine followers tilt backwards slightly (that is, towards the rear of the magazine)? My current followers tilt backwards a bit when I push in with my finger, but not at all forwards.

I ask because I recently changed springs in my magazines, and never noticed such a backwards tilt before. It's very possible the followers always tilted a bit backwards and I just never noticed until now, but I wanted to ask the community just to be sure.

Looking at the rear of the mag, the follower on the one I grabbed is even with the lip on the left side.

If I am understanding the question, the answer is no. I checked my mags, I have several and they all depress evenly when you push down on the follower with your finger. If memory serves the spring seats into the follower, maybe the spring did not properly fit back.

    Good luck,
    Dave

Early followers had a hole through which the spring was hooked. Current followers snap on top of the spring. I would disassemble the mag and check the orientation of the spring.

Do they still depress evenly if you press on the rear of the follower? That's when mine tilt. The rear tilts and depresses, and the front depresses only about half as much.

And to the above, I'm suspecting the same. It's probably not clicked in properly. Blagh.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Yeah, that's exactly what mine look like as well. At least that's good!

The tilt comes when I push on the back of the follower with my finger (or with the mag loader). The rear of the follower depresses about twice as much as the front of the follower.

Just took the mags apart and checked the attachment, and they're clicked in just right. The springs just compress a little more in the back for some reason, even when out of the magazine. This leads me to think it's just something inherent to the mags that I never noticed?

Ok, I think I understand what you are seeing. When you push down on the back of the follower the front "tips" up a little. All mine seem to do that so I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Yea, I gotcha now as well.

That should be normal. I thought it was tilted just sitting there.

I believe most followers are designed like that so the rounds don't nosedive.
