Re: Where does your revolver fit in your outfit?
I'm up to 5 revolvers and they seem to keep multiplying.
S&W 638, 637, 642 - the J frame family all in 38
S&W 22-4 in 45ACP - Man is it a nice gun and shoots very well
Taures 905 hammerless in 9mm
Once upon a time I had a LCR, I never cared for it and I was able to short stroke the trigger pull and not rotate the cylinder completely which I found to be a problem. I got rid of it. I don't feel the gun was faulty but I was just use to a different trigger on the smiths and couldn't get my mind to change and pull that trigger correctly to not end up with a short stroke pull.
I would love to add a nice 22lr and a medium frame 357mag to the collection. Maybe someday get up to finding an old colt 1917 and chop it do a fitz special

Re: Where does your revolver fit in your outfit?
Revolvers make up the bulk of my collection. I got into them when my great uncle passed away and I got his old S & W .38. I have no idea of the model, it has the blade front sight and notched rear, pencil barrel, mother of pearl grips, blueing worn / rubbed completely off, but accurate as anything. That was the first (about 7 years ago) then it became:
-Ruger SBH 6" stainless .44 mag
-Ruger P94 .40 (for carrying)
-S & W 637 .38 +p (summer time carry / bug)
-Browning Buckmark (best plinker there is)
-S & W Model 19 6" Nickel .357 mag (Wedding present from the wife)
-S & W Model 10 4" Bull barrell (Philly police gun, accurate as hell)
-Ruger P95 9mm (got rid of the 94 - 15 rds beats 10)
-Ruger Police Security Six 4" Bull barrell 357 mag
I've also had a few others make their way into and back out of my collection, they're not worth remembering. I am definitely a revolver guy. The only auto I am interested in adding to the collection is a Colt and/or Ruger 1911. My revolver wish list is quite a bit more extensive. S&W in 45, S&W 500, S&W 19 blued with a 4"bbl, something in .22 (I like the High Standard 9 shot Sentinels), and the list goes on ...
Out of my handguns my favorite is by far the model 19. It's a beautiful gun, and it shoots even better than it looks. The model 10 is a close second, but the 38 just can't measure up to the power of the 357. Once I find a suitable holster I would like to make the Security Six my primary carry, but for now the P95 gets the job done.
Anyway, just my 2 cents. I like my 2 autos but at heart I am definitely a revolver guy."The Earth is for the living." -Thomas Jefferson

Re: Where does your revolver fit in your outfit?
I'm a revolver guy. I have 15 revolvers (14 Rugers, 1 Colt), I have autos also but I started with revolvers in the early 70's and shot competitively with revolvers. To me they just feel right, and I've not seen an auto with a blue job like the early model Smiths with their dark blue/black or the deep rich Royal Blue on a Colt Python.

Re: Where does your revolver fit in your outfit?
My first handgun was a Ruger Single Six .22/.22mag. The next one was a Ruger Mark I. Since then it has been a mixed bag of auto's and revolvers in everything from .22 to .45 LC, .7.62x25, .32's (.32 Long, .32 Mag, .327, .32-20), .380, 9MM, .38 Super, .38 S&W, .38 SPL, .357, .40 S&W, .41 Mag, .44 SPL, .44 Mag, and .45 Auto. No .17's because I've not found anything I like, nor any of the big boys because I can do anything I want with the others. Things on my wish list. .32 auto, .38 Super, Birdhead .32 from Ruger, .41 Mag, 1911's, 9MM, .45 LC. And that's just handguns.
I'm equal with what ever is out there. Small wheel gun for summer carry and a 1911 in the winter.

Re: Where does your revolver fit in your outfit?
I have owned a "few" revolvers since I started shooting etc... back in 1985. Since the mid-90s the only revolvers that I haved owned have been snubs, different models - but all snubbies.
These snubbies were used as my BUG on duty. Now, the snubby that I still have (currently a Ruger LCR .38 sp) fills the roll of my "I'm not carrying a gun" gun.Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Re: Where does your revolver fit in your outfit?
I've got 2. S&W 686 (pre-internal lock) and a Dan Wesson 44FB. I wasn't a fan of the look of the wheel gun until I tried out the 686 at a local range. I instantly fell in love and bought it on the spot. The collection's just starting... Now I'd much rather have one of them by my side than anything else.
After us, the deluge
