Josh, I'm going to try to get it done on Sunday(7/31)

Bybloshex, the process doen't take that long but I have a full time job and can only work on the guns in the evenings (when I'm home, I have to travel a lot) and on the weekends. Plus when I'm home I also have the standard home type stuff to do (cut grass, stack wood, honey do list, etc.) So it takes a bit longer. Luckily I have some very good clients that give me the time I need to get it done. I don't want to rush and they don't want me to either. I/they want it done right the first time.

The slid on my Glock 26 has seen better days. I carry it almost every day in a supertuck. How dose cerakote hold up to holster ware?

Depending on the pics/price I may want my Glock 19 and AR 15 done.

Saber, I am told that it wears very well. We'll find out as the S&W 638 I am doing gets a lot of carry use as does the Kahr K9 (it's getting just the slide done).

Bybloshex, As I get these first one's done I'll have a better idea on what I will need to charge to keep everyone happy (the customer and me). Right now I am concentrating on single color coatings (no tiger stripe, woodland camo, desert camo, etc.) until I see exactly how the material sprays, what types of stencils work best, best kind of tape to use, etc. This isn't quite the same as spraying a car so I'm learning the tricks as I go.

Wicked good Ron, glad to hear it's going well. Take as much time as you need, it's summer, the Colt/Novak 1911 is getting plenty of carry time! I look forward to seeing how the 638 comes out and how the CeraKote holds up!

I have at least 2 long guns and a pocket handgun that I'll eventually be bringing to ya for coating, Ron.

Ya Ron, take your time as my T-9 is pretty happy that she gets some out side air this summer, instead of being safe queen that she was last year...

    .
I have a bolt gun that was cerekoted black at GAP. It wears VERY well. Only parts that wore were the ones where the rifle barrel got dragged across rocks and the thread protector for the silencer where the wrench galled it. very tough stuff.

The question isn't "who does cerakote hold up to holster wear?" It's "How does holster wear hold up to cerakote?" I have two rifles that are both cerakoted. I don't know of a better coating on the market today.
