LTCF in Lancaster County--EASY!
For what it's worth . . .
It took less than ten minutes from the time I walked into the courthouse until I was on my way. (Of course, I had the form filled out ahead of time.) The staff were pleasant and handled everything professionally, although the guy who took the picture called it a "permit".
I feel bad for folks in other counties that aren't so lucky. Then again, I guess we shouldn't even need a license to protect ourselves (the Constitution should be good enough).

Re: LTCF in Lancaster County--EASY!
Incredible. Take a look at other posts and experiences in other Counties. DELCO 50 days for renewals. You expect this is anti-gun Democratic controlled Counties like Philadelphia but Delaware County is Republican controlled & conservative and you'd expect pro 2nd amendment.
Not sure but I believe Mont.County is also Republican but they also have the Police check card nonsense which delays your application and adds to the hassle factor. An employee of the Sheriffs Office can get your criminal history(including arrests) off a CLEAN/NCIC terminal in minutes. This should be a sufficent check and it is in most Counties.
Glad it went so hassle free flabbydanTim

Re: LTCF in Lancaster County--EASY!
Congrats on your LTCF. In Adams Co I was told it would be four to six weekes before I heard anything. My letter came two weeks later.
I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy. Hippie and 3%er.

Re: LTCF in Lancaster County--EASY!
Applied for mine in Lancaster about a year ago, and it took about 40 days until I recieved it and I took the completed form in with me as well. They must be slowing down a little.

Re: LTCF in Lancaster County--EASY!
When I got mine a couple years ago, it took northampton county about 4 weeks for them to mail me my LTCF. I would have loved to be able to walk in and out with it.

Yep was always fairly easy and painless to get/renew mine in Lanc. Hardest part was finsing parking. When mine is due my dad takes me and circles the block till I'm done and vice versa when his needs renewing. Saves the headache of parking.

Re: LTCF in Lancaster County--EASY!
OP: Congrats!
I got my LTCF a year ago today actually in Lancaster County. Took 15 minute as well (since I had everything filled out when I walked in). Couldn't beat that. Best $29 I've spend. Haha.
When I was living in Florida it took 8 months for my Concealed Carry Permit. They make you take the NRA Basic Pistol Course, finger prints and mail it in. Cost me $190 by the time all was said and done. Crazy.
