New guy with pics

Hey guys whats up. I'm a new member here, so I figured the best way to introduce myself would be for my first post to be a pic of my new gun. It is a Springfield XD9 subcompact, that I purchased from Gander Mountain in Chambersburg on Thursday evening for a very good price. My LTC is pending with the Shariff and this will be my daily carry piece when my paper work goes through. Here are a few pics after going through it's first two magazines and a good cleaning.
This picture is of the case full of goodies that Springfield gives you, along with the great gun. Along with the gun, you get a belt holster, dual magazine holster, magazine loader, cable lock , one 10 round magazine and one 16 round magazine w/ grip extension.


Here is a pic of the XD9 with the standard magazine loaded. With this magazine loaded my pinky hands off the grip. I have a Pearce extension on the way to solve this.


Finally here is the XD9 with the supplied 16 round magazine w/ grip extension.

Congrats on the pistol. I have the same one. Mine didn't come with the mag holster or loader...but I got an extra 10rd mag so I was happy. You'll love the Pearce extensions.

I got the same exact gun with all the fun stuff too! I bought mine at Gander in Erie.
I love it.
I did buy an additional 16 round mag since I like the longer grip.
Its a fun gun and easily concealed. Plus you can't beat the safety features!

Welcome. Your going to love the XD. I tell people all the time that it shoots better than I do. One nice piece of machinery. Now get out there and shoot it.

How you going to carry it? Do you have a holster picked out that you like yet?

This thread will give you some do's and don'ts of the holster world. I was buying a certain holster till two guys complained about the same thing on it. Now I am looking for a better choice.

thanks for the welcomes and kinds words guys. After putting approx. 100 rounds through this gun over the weekend and i'm loving everything about it. So far the 16 round mag. gives me the best feel on the gun. My hands are decent size and the 10 round mag. is not comfortable at all. Although as I said before I have a Pearce grip on the the way so hopefully mjd is right and that will be more comfortable it. Michele I will not be able to make it to the group shot. I have plans for that weekend. Hopefully I will be able to make it to one soon. mtbkskit, I plan on using a smartcarry for it. My dad has one for his Glock 26 and it is very comfortable. I also my get a clipdraw or ankle holsterfor occasion when I have tighter jeans on or just cant wear the smartcarry.
