A Welcome from Somerset
Hello from Somerset. Exit 110 off the PA Turnpike. Looking forward to meeting others from the area.
Great site DanP! I know how much work goes into a site with forums. Thanks for all the effort you put into it.-Smitty

Not so very far afield from you - across in Bedford county near Bedford.
Seen your handle before somewhere - maybe on CC or THR.Chris - P95

Re: A Welcome from Somerset
Just another Somerset County resident checking in. I grew up in Bedford County and somewhere along the line decided it would be a good idea to move up here to the land of snow.

Hello,
I am originally from Confluence, down by the border. Good to find a forum about local firearms.
I must admit I do not miss the snow.We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.

Re: A Welcome from Somerset
Hello all. I am looking for sheriff department patches from Somerset and Bedford counties. Does anyone here have an extra to give away or sell? Or does anyone know how these particular depts. feel about giving a patch to a collector?
Thanks guys.

Re: A Welcome from Somerset
Hello I live Painesville, OH which is east of Cleveland and have a OH CCW license. My family is from Confluence(mom) and Connelsville(Dad). We have a farm that has been passed down to us in confluence. I would like to have a PA carry license. I was wondering could anyone tell me if I can send the application in or do I have to come into the sheriffs office in order to apply for a PA license. We are not in PA during normal business hours. I would have to request a vacation day if I am not able to just mail in application with copy of Oh license and payment.

Re: A Welcome from Somerset
An out of state person can get his PA license to carry from any PA sheriff (although some will not issue them )
Your best and fastest option is to get your PA license from the Centre Co., PA sheriff. All done by mail and very fast turnaround time. Details here:

And of course it is good statewide
