    There ya go.

I've done the same thing with a nest of bunnies. It was colorful, but not very pretty. I thought it was a branch or cluster of black walnuts when the triple blade 52" deck passed over them. On the return trip I saw that I was hugely mistaken.

I am not into killing to kill or risking a snake bite to relocate one.

    thanker92:

Hope you saved the carcass - it could be worth big moolah!

Although Lackawana county is a 3rd class county, you are surrounded by 6th and 7th class counties (Susquehanna, Wyoming, and Wayne). Call the county commissioners and see what, is anything, they offer - remember that you killed the CuHead in the county with the most bounty .

You might even be able to spend the $1 as partial recovery of your gas expenditure to surrender the body.

16 P.S. § 1972. Bounties for destruction of rattlesnakes, copperhead snakes and porcupines

The board of commissioners of any county of the sixty [sic], seventh or eighth class may provide for the payment of rewards or bounties for the killing within the county of rattlesnakes and copperhead snakes, not more than one dollar ($1) for each, and for the killing of porcupines, not more than fifty cents (50¢) each. They may make appropriations for such purposes.

Let me get this straight.... It's illegal to kill a snake but there's a bounty?

Like jjeez said, I won't risk my life trying to relocate one. Non-poisonous snakes, sure I never kill them... just grab them and throw them in the bush or something. But I wont ever mess around with e poisonous one... That's some excitement I don't need in my life. lol

My dad did the same thing awhile back. Didn't see it until he was on it. Thankfully he only got one of them... they scattered and my mom was trying to collect them in a box to keep them together, and so more didn't get killed. At least it was only one that bit the dust though... could have been worse.

At least they killed it, nothing sucks worse than accidentally cutting of pieces of a baby bunny with a mower and watching it crawl around the yard. I felt lower than dirt for a week. But now we have a Skag Cheetah, if we hit something, it turns it into a red mist, there's no chance of even identifying what it was.
